No Waves Please

Summer flashes by in a moment. I found myself trying to grab onto summer and hold it for a few days at The Island. After settling in I convinced my scared self to get out on a biscuit. (also known as: Monster Tubes.) At first I was really scared, but I wouldn't have not gone out on the tube. I knew that people said it was fun, but I wasn't so sure about falling of into the water. Mr. Olson went easy on me and when I was done I was ready to go again. (well, that is after I gave my muscles a rest.) I realized that to actually have fun, I would have had to scream... and almost mean it. Davey managed the latter the next time I went out... Yelp at least. He would pull me out of the wake and then back in. Sometimes I would collide with Kristy when swinging around; and when we weren't really concentrating on staying on the tube, we had some nice little chats. Two cool things: 1. Coming out of the wake and gliding on the water. 2. Flying up in the air. Scary? Maybe. Fun? Definitely. Let's go again.

The first time I went tubing was a year ago at Detroit Lake. LJ's grandfather was pulling us and he really knew had how to swing us around. I realized how much fun it was when I got off, but while I was out there I was terrified for my life. He would go pretty fast and I kept falling off the little tube.
