Trouncing the Town
Nora took me out for my birthday today. We went out for lunch and a movie. Night at the Museum. I'd watch it again. Bridgeport is such a cool place. There was some extra time to kill, so we checked out some of the shops. We stopped in at J. Crew. It's an awesome store. There was a really cute skirt I'd wear if I could, even though it comes above the knee. I still want to try it on sometime. Mall anyone? Places like that just make me want to spend money. We also checked out an interior design store. Forget the name. Nora and I have the same taste in couches. Furniture shopping is most fun. I tried it at Pottery Barn and Kitchen Kaboodle. I found I know what I like. A couch is such a cool piece of furniture. Brings people together. In the Levi's store, the clerk was freaking me out. He came across gay to both Nora and me. "How can I help you ladies out? What kind of jeans do you like? This is a really cute style, go out tromping in the jungle." etc. There was some cute stuff, but I could not stand that dude. I'm not very tolerant of people that creep me out. To end on a lighter note, I was very pleased to sit in the theatre with some gummy worms. It's so much fun to sneak candy into the movie. Just flounce by the concessions counter with a smug look on your face and a hand in your pocket on your favorite movie munchies. That's what I did today. How very sneaky. : )
