I don't know why this picture was taken, but it fit the bottle so well, I just couldn't resist. If something so simple could look so nice, you might imagine the beauty of the scenery. While Adam cooked the burgers, we had to pass the time in this day camp area. Having some time to spare and presented with a bug, I got a funny idea. I instantly knew someone who would enjoy this fine specimen of God's creation. Actually, I knew this persons reaction would cause me to break into peals of laughter. After picking up the bug, I scurried over to show Chelsea. I didn't force anyone to look at anything, but not only Chelsea jumped two feet off the ground and screamed like a little girl being faced by a monster, Susan also was horrified by the little flier. Hilarious I thought it would be and hilarious it was. Our bug friend must have been awfully startled for he escaped out of my hands. Since I had no more bug, and probably wasn't wanted to be near either Chelsea or Susan, so I pranced away victoriously and was congratulated by my equally amused friends. On my
flickr I have captured our dear friend
Jevonne's grave. (aka Jay) I had picked a bouquet of wild flowers and it seemed necessary to lay them on a grave. With no
cemetery close by, Adela and I decided to make a grave. Adela couldn't find a suitable stone, so I suggested a grave stick. I carved the name Jay into the stick (the name given to us by Paul...) with a heart. The grave spot was chosen with care. Kristy, Adela, Rachel, and I crossed the stream and placed the grave stick into a stump. We had a moment of silence, but we couldn't help but cry (smother our giggles). We will always and forever remember Jay. After lunch our group made our way to the trail. I traveled with my buddy Kristy. We weren't the first ones up or the first down, but we enjoyed the sights no less. We passed three falls and they got bigger and more
beautiful the further up we went. The hardest part was coming back down the trail. It was difficult enough going up, but down was harder since it wasn't just down. I made it though, and am alive today.
